When the rains come...

In the sub-tropics we have a dry and a wet season. The dry season sometimes lasts into December and after three months of little rain many plants lose their colour and vigour and the landscape browns off a bit. Suddenly the rains come and it doesn't stop pouring down for days. Water everywhere, running off in little streams and waterfalls. This painting captures the feeling of relief and joy that abundant rain brings after a long dry spell. Original painting by Stefan Mager. Oil on canvas, 760mm x 760mm. Signed, stretched canvass, ready to hang.
